Farris Hallaj has been performing publicly since age five.  His young soprano voice has matured into a mellow baritone since that time, and his musical knowledge and ability continues to grow.
A recent graduate of VSDB (Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind), Farris will begin studying music at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia in September 2012.
Farris performed at Carnegie Hall as a member of the All American Honors Choir, and has won many state and regional titles for his singing.

Although I knew Farris was a talented composer, I hesitated to ask him to write music for my book trailer.  He was getting ready for college, and had so little time to enjoy the summer.  But when Youtube said the generic "Romantic Piano" I used was a not-so-generic piece, I asked.

It took him longer to name it than it took him to compose and record the music!
